Standard Wheelchair or Transport Chair?

This is the big one.  What style of wheelchair should you start with.  The transport chair or the wheelchair.  This one is pretty easy though.  If the person sitting in the chair will be pushing themselves, then you need the wheelchair.  It has the large rear push wheels which gives the user the ability to propel themselves.  The transport chair is what it sounds like.  It is used for transport.  The user would sit and be pushed to their destination.  It is great for being put into a car because it is so light weight and taking someone to a restaurant or doctors office is easier.  Both can fold up and be put into a car, and both can be used outside.  My recommendation:  It depends on your situation.
